- Electronic communication devices are strictly prohibited in the examination hall.

About Basic Education Certificate Examination
Each state of the federation and the FCT conducts the BECE for its candidates, NECO conducts the BECE for Federal Unity Colleges, Armed Forces Secondary Schools and other Federal establishments operating Secondary schools.
Private high schools also participate in NECO BECE, provided it has been approved by their state ministry of education. 22 subjects are given at the BECE level.
