NUC’s approval came after the Lagos government passed the university’s founding law and then formally asked NUC to help increase the admission quota of students from the state wishing to enter university.
Lagos governor Babajide Sanvo-Olu and government officials were at NUC’s headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday (Feb 8) to secure a temporary license for the agency and pledged to provide resources to ensure the two agencies run smoothly.
With a provisional license, the new university is now officially recognized by NUC, JAMB, NYSC, TETF, and other stakeholders.
